Just like how my Cambodian grandma continuously reminded me to keep chewing my food because my 5-year-old mouth would get tired, she is also the motivation for me to finish my first personal piece since graduating college. She sits in lotus position as if she had always meant for this image of her would be impressed onto my heart knowing eventually she would pass on only to come back in a similar likeness. To come back immortalized in the most permanent medium to make sure I would always have a physical reminder of her if she begins to fade from my memory.
