Two hot water bottles lie on opposite ends of the gallery space. Each vessel contains a letter- one written by the artist to their mother and one from mother to artist- neither read by the recipient. Using objects associated with warming beds and easing pain to hold and conceal unspoken messages between mother and daughter, this work examines the complexities of a maternal relationship.
