This is the first edition of "Resurgence". As the waves build and ebb I found myself relating to the motion and silent chaos of the ocean. For some time I had stopped making art, to give myself time to reflect and ponder my time at Hartford Art School and all I had learned and made. I was finding my way outside of academia and my way as a creative and at many times found myself stuck and frustrated. I then found myself at a place I had gone to all my life looking out at the ocean and seeing bits of myself in the disarray of the wind and the crashes of the waves. A small period of little activity being plucked up and becoming alive allows me to create once again. The medium embraces the ephemeral, the fleeting, and often the unseen.
